Monica Medina is a powerhouse in environmental policy and global conservation. As the former Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, and the first-ever U.S. Special Envoy for Biodiversity and Water Resources, she has led groundbreaking efforts to protect the planet. Most recently, she made history as the first woman President and CEO of the Wildlife Conservation Society. Now an Arnhold Distinguished Fellow at Conservation International, Monica continues to drive bold action on biodiversity, climate, and conservation.
